I got this game for my son when it first came out a couple of years ago. He was in the 3rd grade and I didn't tell him it taught algebra. He picked up the basics pretty fast and beat the game within 2 weeks. When I told him it was algebra, he looked at me like I tricked him, but he was proud to be able to do it so easily.

During early levels, the game shows cute pictures for a player to match. As play progresses, the pictures are replaced with mathematical symbols. Near the end, kids are solving real algebra problems, unaided. It's amazing to watch.

The 5+ edition of the game costs $5.99 and comes with over 200 levels. It's available in 22 languages and on a variety of platforms including, Android, iOS, Mac, and PC.
