Apple Announced the iPhone 5 Wednesday and Sold Out Friday
/On Wednesday, Apple announced the new iPhone, iPhone 5. They also announced a new iPod Touch, a new iPod nano, and more. iOS 6, the software that powers the iPhone and iPad, made an appearance, too.
The new iPhone became available for pre-order earlier today, September 14, however they sold out in about an hour. In-store purchasing begins on September 21.
I, like many others, suspected that the new iPhone would debut without a number, like the latest iPad. Of course, Apple is famous for keeping people guessing at what they'll do next.
